Furniture Collection for International Students

Throughout the summer we will be collecting furniture donations which will be given to international students at Purdue University.  The students arrive in this country with nothing but their suitcases and move into unfurnished apartments.  The furniture giveaway is held shortly after their arrival (August 16th) and they are invited to the giveaway during orientation week at Purdue.  On the day of the giveaway they come and pick out 2 or 3 items and the items are then delivered to them later the same day.  It provides us with an opportunity to make contact with them, show them love and kindness, and share the Gospel.  If you have furniture you can donate, please click below for more details.  Special drop-off arrangements can be made if the dates & times above will not work.

International Students Visit

June 20 - 22, 2008

One of our missionaries, Dana Gottfried, will be bringing international students from Purdue University to Logan County for a weekend visit.  They will arrive on Friday evening, spend Saturday doing local activities, attend church with us on Sunday morning, and share a carry-in meal with us before returning to Purdue on Sunday afternoon.

Families are needed to house these students.  For many of them it will be their first time in an American home.  If you would like to participate in these activities, please contact Pastor Mike or a member of the Missionary Committee.

Are you and your family interested in an opportunity to minister the Gospel to the lost this summer?  Grace Chapel would like to send another team to New York City to minister in a cross-cultural setting.

This year we will be conducting a local outreach ministry at both the Logan County and Champaign County fairs.  Volunteers are needed to staff the booth.

Come to Purdue, Meet the World

August 10-17, 2008

If you would like to have an opportunity to minister to people from all over the world without spending a lot of time and money on travel, this is for you.  Spend a week at Purdue University ministering to international students.  You will eat meals with them, take classes on their culture, help them with their English, and prepare for the furniture giveaway on Saturday.
